The Annual Bellefonte Victorian Christmas

The Reynolds Mansion hosts Victorian High Teas while the town hosts numerous events, dinners, and carriage rides. Dickens Carolers stroll around town singing and telling amusing stories. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to relive this period in history.

The Annual Bellefonte Arts and Crafts Festival

Visit downtown Bellefonte, PA in early-August and you will find yourself amid a collection of talented artists and craftsmen and the natural beauty of a Victorian town. This festival transforms the downtown area into a fun arts and crafts haven for everyone. Enjoy arts, crafts and more from talented artists and crafters from near and far. Bring along the kids for numerous fun activities and games that will be sure to make memories. Also, don’t forget to save room for supper. With countless delectable delights from the area’s finest concessionaires, no one will leave hungry!

The Bellefonte Cruise

Held Father’s Day weekend, includes an open cruise, a sock hop, all-vehicle show, parade of high performance and classic show cars, motorcycle poker run, and lots more. In 2012 they added New Truck classes, redefined Motorcycle and Car classes, FREE Children’s Class registration, and a Sunday Event – HBC 5K Run/walk to benefit Centre County Y!

In Centre County

The Grange Fair

Held every August, this fair is a city within a town, as campers “move into” the Grange Park in Centre Hall, PA to live for more than a week. Come for the concerts, the rides, the amazing food, the games, and the competitions.

Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts

Each July many alumni return for this festival (otherwise known as Arts Fest). The mission of Arts Fest is to celebrate the arts with presentations of diverse, high-quality visual and performing arts through the cooperative volunteer support of the community and The Pennsylvania State University. Shop the sidewalk sale and take in musical performances.

Punkin’Chunkin

One of our personal favorites is Punkin’Chunkin at Bald Eagle State Park in October.  Not only is this a great fall festival but you get to cheer on your favorite catapult as it hurls pumpkins into the lake! This is an annual fundraising event for the Howard Fire Department. The fall foliage is usually also amazing on the mountains surrounding the lake.

First Night

We even have a wonderful event on New Year’s Eve called First Night. First Night takes place in downtown State College every December 31st. See a show, go ice skating, join a 5k run, check out all of the ice sculptures, grab a hot chocolate and just walk around the town.  First Night is a great way to ring in the New Year.  A $10 button gets you into all performances and most activities.
